Wines at New Castle Liquors
Improving the wine selection and making it easier to navigate were two of our biggest priorities when we bought the store in September 2015. Since then, we’ve reorganized the department and added 85 new wines. We’re always looking for a few more to round out our offerings, so please let us know if we’re not carrying your favorite.
The wine at New Castle Liquors is organized by variety, size, price and geography. Sections include, starting closest to the door, 1.5-liters separated by variety, value and boxed brands, Colorado wines, imports, sparkling, white varietals and red varietals, all marked with easy-to-read signs.
The wine wall features our top-tier items. From left to right, you can choose Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots, Zinfandels, Pinot Noirs, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blancs and Chardonnays, with a few blends mixed in as well.
Wines We Carry
You’ll find well-known brands like Apothic, Chateau St. Michelle, Barefoot, Kendall Jackson, 14 Hands, Beringer, Big House, Black Box, Bogle, Mondavi, Cupcake, Fisheye, Franzia, Liberty Creek, McManis, Ménage à Trois, Sutter Home, Sterling, Woodbridge and Yellow Tail, to name just a few.
There are many smaller, lesser-known wineries represented as well. From the Willamette Valley in Oregon, we offer varieties from Belle Pente, King Estate, Montinore and Sokol Blosser. Project Paso, Kenwood Vineyards’ Jack London series and 1,000 Stories Zinfandel, all from California, and the Australian 19 Crimes reds have been well-received recent additions. We’re also proud to carry Colorado wines, many made here on the Western Slope. Find a list of wineries on our Colorado-Made page.
Some of our most popular wines are imports, including the Alamos Malbec (Argentina), Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio (Italy), Relax Riesling (Germany), Roscato Rosso (Italy), Casillero del Diablo (Chile) and New Age (Argentina).
Our organic wines are shelved with the varietals and include choices from Montinore Estate, Our Daily Red, Green Truck and Bonterra Vineyards. Look for the green organic symbols on the shelves.
Want to celebrate without the buzz? There’s a complete line of Sutter Homes’ Fre alcohol-removed wines at the end of the red wine shelf.
This is just a sampling of the wines in our store. The complete list is 10 pages long, so your best bet is to stop by and check it out for yourself.

Save 10% when you buy wine by the case. You can mix and match, even between sizes. A case consists of 12 750-millileter bottles or six 1.5-liter bottles. If you’re mixing sizes, a 1.5-liter counts as two 750-millileters, so your case could contain eight of the smaller bottles and two of the larger.
