Fess Parker Wines
The Big Easy
With The Big Easy we wanted to pay homage to one of our favorite cities, a culinary mecca and great supporters of our wines, New Orleans. This well-structured blend has the same characteristics you have come to expect from The Big Easy, rich dark fruit flavors with a touch of oak, and soft tannins that lead to a long lengthy finish.
“…Aromas of melon, yellow peach, lemon rind and chalky minerality lead into a palate loaded with ripe stone-fruit flavors that are balanced by citrusy acidity.” ~ Wine Enthusiast
“Succulent peach, melon and mango flavors have a vein of vanilla bean and a hint of toast running through, smoothing out on the edges and lingering on a spicy finish.” ~ Wine Spectator Tasting Notes
Fess Parker Santa Barbara County Riesling
Our Riesling is a refreshing, off-dry wine with prominent apricot, white peach and lemon cream flavors.
Fess Parker Santa Barbara County Chardonnay
“Offering up white peaches and fresh pineapple on the nose with hints of nutmeg and coriander seed, the 2016 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County has ripe stone fruit and tropical notes in the mouth with a lovely spiciness to the finish.” ~ Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Parker Station Pinot Noir
This medium- to full-bodied Pinot Noir displays enticing cherry, plum and strawberry fruit flavors on the nose and palate, complemented by nuances of spice, clove and herbs with a hint of toasty oak. Round, balanced and eminently drinkable.
Locations by Dave Phinney
“Dave Phinney – is one of the more creative young minds in all of the world’s winedom. He is doing things that are far beyond his modest age and deserves to be commended for the brilliant individuality/singularity of all of his efforts.” -Robert Parker
“As of now, Dave Phinney might be my “value winemaker of the year” candidate. If there are better wines for under $20 a bottle in the world today, please share that information with the Wine Advocate.’ –Robert Parker
An immediate aromatic mélange of dark plums, ripe briar fruits, rich soil, and fir trees present themselves on the nose —in essence, a high mountain cooking pit of smoked fruit. On the palate, similar dark fruits carry through and are complemented by flavors of dried fruit, fig compote and marmalade. Textured on the finish, a long chain of tannins lingers for what seems to be endless with a hint of fresh tartness. A blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine presents a dark, polished amethyst with aromatic notes of white pepper, tobacco, and black currant emerging from the glass. A silky mouthfeel with a palate of dark plums, black raspberry, and hints of French vanilla closes with subtle tart black cherry and a lengthy, structural finish. A blend of Grenache/Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell, and Carignan/Cariñena
